When it comes to elegance with structure, Catherine Malandrino reigns supreme. “Majestic”, the title of her S/S 2013 line was inspired by the crossroads of American sportswear and French romanticism. Through differentiating fabric choices and drastic patterns, Catherine demonstrated this by complimenting her color pallete of neutral pinks, greens, and blues with a structure that framed the femininity well. Further more, Viveka Bergstrom’s structural metallic jewelry and Heidi Lee’s millinery only strengthened the look. When it came to beauty and hair, Catherine continued to followed suit showing strong and high updoes done by Moroccan Oil that resembled the classic pompadour, while choosing MAC cosmetics for nude lips and rosy pinks and purples for eyes. Overall, Malandrino brilliantly illustrated a woman who wants to elegantly make a strong statement.
One of my favorite looks was on model Ajang, who was wearing a crinkled leather studded vest with a cowl necked white silk georgette romper. Such a dramatic statement that frames a beautiful white draping underneath! So chic!
Secondly was the outfit on Kersti. I especially loved the mint green high waisted silk jacquard pants and high shoulder and cut out cotton blouse!
