All I needed was a fruity drink in my hand and you could have convinced me I was actually lounging on a beach instead of my third row seat at Custo. His S/S line entitled “X-ray” stayed very true to the look of Custo Barcelona, displaying vivid and tropical colors yet managed to show something really cutting edge through a transparent effect. Mixing patterns and colors is what he does best and this years season was no exception! Taking it all in was a fun adventure at worst (he has such a way of taking his audience on a journey) where he played with texture, sheer, and fringe. He seems to be the master of such mixing drastic statements in a way that pulls the whole look together! To the untrained fashionista, Custo might be a bit overwhelming so I would suggest pairing singles with something a little bit more conservative, yet you HAVE to get your hands on one of his pieces (I’d suggest one of his vests for the gentlemen!). Seriously…look him up!
