Pocket Full of Sunshine

Pocket Full of Sunshine
As a tribute to staying positive and hopeful for warmer days, I thought I’d catch up with the spring trend of yellows (Groundbreaking right?).  All I can think about is on “The Devil Wears Prada” when Miranda Priestly’s employee tries to convince her of doing florals for spring, as if it was a new idea.  Think again.  Despite the fact that yellow might be a tad bit cliche for spring, I still find it to be one of the most intimidating colors when incorporating it into my wardrobe.  I’m officially up for the challenge and put together this look board to hopefully inspire myself and you as well.  I’m especially obsessed with the Modern Vice fringed high top sneakers in the middle, I MEAN!  Do they make them in mens sizes?  SO here’s the insider tip…  If yellowjacket print is a bit too much for you, just add blue!  As in the several examples above, adding a bright blue not only adds a different pop of color but it really mutes down the abrasiveness of the black and yellow.  One other thing to try (Much more difficult to get images of) is yellow with grey.  I know, I know, it sounds drab, but paired with a really rich charcoal color, it can actually make your look incredibly fresh and well….dapper.
What do you think?!
Ciao.
