Today marked the beginning of New York Fashion Week, as well as was the first day I’ve ever been to New York. Needless to say, I love this city. Myself, Mal, and her quirky best friend Maggie, went out for Fashions night out and it was a grand affair! Thousands of people swarmed the streets (Soho was where we roamed) to check out designer specials, live dj’s, and the occasional celebrity appearance. After an awesome dinner at RSVP (I recommend the Chicken Bruschetta) we tried to steer clear of the Kardashian swooners by sticking to the lower east side-a visit to Nicole Miller and OCC were in order! Nicole Miller is a fabulous womenswear designer whom I definitely appreciate more now that I’ve gotten to experience her boutique first hand! Rouched yet casual dresses and black and metallic military jackets adorned her pristine but simple walls. My favorite look was a tailored biker jacket in burgundy and green! Love love love (shown below). Next up for us was Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics! No doubt, this up and coming cosmetics brand is on pointe! We love their brand new lip color “Black Dahlia”. Check them out fo sho! Over all, it was an awesome first day in fabulous NYC!
